We are offering robotics as an extra mural activity to our learners who are interested, because it can benefit them in all areas of life and in every career choice. In this burgeoning technological era robotics encourages reasoning and teach thinking skills that the 21st century adults are going to need in a world where almost everything will be enhance by the use of robotics.
Learners learn to rationalize and reason when learning about and imagining a robot’s potential. They discover how robotics can help with problem solving and teaches fun, practical reasoning.
They will learn how to code. This will assist them not just in the use of technology but also in developing it. Learning to code makes learners feel empowered, creative and confident, therefore Spine Road High School offer robotics so that our learners can retain and use these skills into their adult world.
Advancements in technology are happening every single day. Our learners will be left at a distinct disadvantage when they leave school with possible fewer career opportunities than those who have been expose to the educational concepts of what robotics can do.
Robotics is an extra-mural activity at our school and therefor classes can only be offered after school and on Saturdays. The skills needed to excel in robotics demand intense training in coding, designing and planning, and therefor learners who are interested need to commit themselves to spend lots of time in the newly equipped robotics room.
